From free elections and peaceful transfers of power to sweeping
reforms, Latin America has seen tremendous progress over the
past two decades. It is no accident that this sweeping, historic
shift is taking place in an era of rapid globalization and legal
harmonization. Indeed, amid counteracting political shifts, there
are strong reasons to expect this growing trend toward legal and
institutional reform will only continue. What better time, then, to
host the first global event of its kind to look at the future of
economic progress and the rule of law in Latin America. That’s
the goal of this groundbreaking meeting – comprehensive views
and practical approaches.
